Premiere providers of training for the polymer industry in the UK and USA, Polymer Training Ltd (PTL) and RJG, Inc. have announced their intention to co-operate in the delivery of education and training services, allowing an expanded portfolio of training to the international plastics market. PTL is an international resource centre for the polymer industry, specialising in training & education. Owned by the industry through an educational trust, PTL in its various forms has over thirty years experience of supporting the polymer sector. PTL is recognised as the National Centre of Vocational Excellence for polymers in the UK by the UK governments’ Learning and Skills Council and is an active member of the British Plastics Federation.
Raymond Clarke, Chief Executive of PTL said ‘By working with RJG, PTL will be able to expand its portfolio of learning products and access new markets. Our target is to build PTL as the premiere accreditation body for polymer certification globally and a major international provider of training and educational resources. We believe that there is considerable synergy between the product offerings of PTL and RJG, now incorporating Routsis Associates, which can be utilized for the benefit of our customers’.
For RJG, the relationship is designed to increase the exposure of RJG’s training in Europe and Asia. RJG has long been a leader in processing training in the US and has been expanding their reach internationally. RJG’s hands-on Systematic Molding courses are an industry standard for learning the skill sets for systematic molding methodologies. RJG’s Master MolderSM certification program is recognised in the US as the premier training program for injection molders. The two week Master Molder modules are comprehensive, with both classroom and on-machine testing everyday. Also, through a recent partnership with A. Routsis Associates, RJG now offers a full spectrum of interactive and web based programs.
The first offering through the PTL & RJG partnership will be a Systematic Molding I course being taught at the PTL facility in Telford, England, in October 16-18, 2007. RJG has provided an eDART System™ and cavity pressure sensors to instrument molds at the facility.
