The full award is granted against the successful completion of both assessment elements described below.

These can be undertaken on specific test events organised via PTL throughout the year. A separate assessment is used for each specific process but each comprises of 80 multiple-choice questions across all aspects of the process. Specific topics include: Machine Design, Health & Safety, Materials, Quality, Mould Design, Machine Control, Processing and Troubleshooting. A maximum time period of 2.5 hours is allowed to complete the Knowledge Assessment.

The cost to complete this Knowledge Assessment is £90 per person.

Two separate candidates can be assessed during a single day with dates being made available at the time of order placement. This Practical Assessment is split into two separate elements that each have a maximum time limit of 2.5 hours to complete.

The cost to complete this Practical (End Test) Assessment is £449 per person.

Certification:

Although the activities are conducted by representatives of PTL, the result of either assessment will be communicated directly to participating companies via SASL (Polymer Awarding Body). Additional certification can be ordered directly from SASL once formal results have been issued.

"The PTL Courses have been extremely valuable to Symphony, and we wish to run them on a regular basis. The in-house courses have been especially valuable, we operate in 40 countries and have a wide spectrum of distributors and agents. They come from different backgrounds and industry disciplines. Therefore the PTL courses have been an essential tool in providing education and backup for these people. Now we can be sure all our international colleagues are 'singing from the same hymn sheet'.

The courses for both existing and prospective customers have been equally effective. Using PTL has given a sense of credibility that a corporate exercise could not match. The events have been so  successful that a number of retailers have requested specialised 'me-only' courses for their staff members. The facilities, credibility and quality of presenters at the PTL courses are exemplary and prove a valuable educational, morale booster and sales tool for our company".
