Leading figures from throughout the plastics industry will be on hand to offer advice and guidance to local companies at a special Skill Seminar next week with one of the key note speakers being the Managing Director of Telford-based Polymer Training Limited, Peter Smith. The seminar, organised by the British Plastics Federation, takes place at the Best Western Hotel in Stoke and is aimed at anyone responsible for training and skills sets within an organisation. Speakers include a number of leading figures in the polymer industry with Peter Smith from PTL offering an insight into the high quality training the company can offer organisations throughout the sector. Managing Director of PTL, Peter Smith, said: “Polymer Training Limited has a long and proud tradition of being the leading training company in the plastics industry and we are well placed to continue to develop and enhance the level of support we offer to the sector. “I will be explaining to delegates what facilities we offer, what training is available and how this can benefit their employees and their companies. Upskilling is a vital part of ensuring we maintain a competitive plastics industry here in the UK and I see PTL as the bedrock of that skills development.” The seminar will provide practical support and tools to assist in upskilling the employees in organisations and will give delegates a thorough grasp of the skills needs in the industry. Other speakers include Tony Pringle, skills director for polymers from Cogent, the sector skills council and Craig Crowther from the National Skills Academy. |
