A1 Upgrade Course

ASSESSING LEVEL 3 AWARDS - Special upgrade programme

Who will benefit:

This short programme is designed specifically for existing Assessors with the D32 award, who are now ready to extend their qualification to assess Level 3 awards by achieving the A1 assessors award.

Course content:

The Assessing Level 3 Awards course covers the following topics:

Evidence gathering
Evaluating evidence
Asessment planning
Portfolio building
Awarding Body documents (using the candidate evidence guide)
The A1 award - requirements

Duration:

1 day training programme with a follow up workshop held approximately 6 weeks after the training day. An in-company assessment will take place, at the request of the Centre Coordinator, when the candidate has completed a portfolio of evidence and a number of assessments.

Qualification:

Individuals demonstrating competence in assessing S/NVQ Level 3 awards will be awarded the EMPNTO Unit A1.
