Packed with stunning graphics and amazing animations, The Injection Moulding Troubleshooter (IMTS) is a highly advanced training program and expert help system, designed to take the mystery out of solving common part faults.

The IMTS software is dealing with troubleshooting in two different ways; the Training and the Fast Track section.

In the Training section, (click here for demo) each part fault is dealt with in a logical manner, beginning with symptoms, where the appearance of the fault is covered. Following this, the causes, reasons and remedies are reviewed, taking the user on a journey "inside" the mould, where fundamental principles become crystal clear.

The Fast Track (click here for demo) section can be used at the heart of the process as expert help on-line. This sections covers troubleshooting in a flow diagram form, asking questions and giving suggestions to solutions.

A printable check point bullet list can also be printed off and used directly at the machines, to aid the setter/operator in solving some of the most frequently occurring part faults.

IMTS is a sister package to PICAT (Polymer Training’s well established process simulation package) and gives the user a wealth of expert information to help them overcome everyday component faults. Whereas, PICAT poses typical fault scenarios and challenges the user to rectify part faults using their skills and knowledge, IMTS provides answers and solutions - a powerful combination when used in tandem.

"I have recently attended the Product Design with Plastics course at PTL, which was of an exceptional standard. As a Industrial Designer I felt the course was highly intensive, covering a broad topic area including polymer selection, design for manufacture and mould design. The training staff were both friendly and knowledgeable" Gethin Roberts - The National Centre for Product Design & Development Research (PDR)
