Poor induction for new starters costs companies time and money!PTL recognises that the induction of people new to the organisation is of the utmost importance. All companies, large or small, need to induct and train new starters and, as a result, PTL have launched a new injection moulding induction and training programme (ITP) on CD. ITP lends itself perfectly, as it ensures that all new starters receive the same induction programme. Contained within the CD is a manual covering administration, safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace, maintenance of product quality, preparing the work area for processing operations and running a machine based processing operation. In addition, presentations which will allow the company to add company specific information, including logos and lesson plans etc, are included. Focusing on the role of the operator, ITP (Induction and Training Programme) covers the basics of health and safety, quality, the machine, the mould and materials and is aimed as an introduction to the fundamentals of the process from an operator’s viewpoint and is designed for new starters and inexperienced operators. There is also the opportunity to ‘bolt on’ optional modules which could result in the issue of the Polymer Training Ltd Polymer Processing Certification Level 1. |
