  • Basic processing technology for several plastics processes, highlighting potential hazards.
  • Workshop safety legislation.
  • Safe systems at work.
  • The “BPF” codes of practice.
  • The management of Health & Safety at Work regulations.
  • The provision and use of work equipment regulations.
  • The manual handling operations regulations.
  • EN:201 and other process equipment design regulations.
  • Risk assessment.

This course will suit any member of staff who have a responsibility for co-ordinating and/or ensuring good health and safety regulations, codes of practice and working knowledge of machine and process hazards, along with actual risk assessments. The course contains a balance of theory and practice, with the majority of time being devoted to hands-on practical experience.
