Gainsborough Bathrooms recently celebrated the success of their employees who achieved their NVQ Level 2 in Polymer Processing and Related Operations. The programme funded by the Learning and Skills Council, was delivered by PTL at Gainsborough’s site in Aldridge.
Chris Wassall, Manufacturing Director, was keen to celebrate these achievements, stating; “the employees involved in the programme have applied themselves and reaped the benefit”

The programme of NVQs delivered by PTL involved assessment by Darren Vater-Hutchison, who spent time with the learners during their normal work activity on the shop floor and time in the classroom delivering the underpinning knowledge. Chris Wassall said; “the Company has appreciated the time spent by all concerned, especially when the challenges and constraints of manufacturing can hinder the NVQ process”

The successful Learners received their certificates from Charmaine Bowers, Operations Manager PTL, and Gainsborough’s MD Gordon Farmiloe presented a gift to all the achievers.
Charmaine Bowers said; “the learners should feel justifiably proud of their achievements; they have gained a nationally acknowledge qualification which is equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C, and Gainsborough have employees whose skills have been recognised and developed”.

"The PTL Courses have been extremely valuable to Symphony, and we wish to run them on a regular basis. The in-house courses have been especially valuable, we operate in 40 countries and have a wide spectrum of distributors and agents. They come from different backgrounds and industry disciplines. Therefore the PTL courses have been an essential tool in providing education and backup for these people. Now we can be sure all our international colleagues are 'singing from the same hymn sheet'.

The courses for both existing and prospective customers have been equally effective. Using PTL has given a sense of credibility that a corporate exercise could not match. The events have been so  successful that a number of retailers have requested specialised 'me-only' courses for their staff members. The facilities, credibility and quality of presenters at the PTL courses are exemplary and prove a valuable educational, morale booster and sales tool for our company".
