What is Train in Work?

Train in work is a  funding program that will allow employers who are based in the Lincolnshire and Rutland area to train their staff.

With Train in Work, employers can apply for training and accreditation up to Level 3 in any appropriate work related area, including Basic Skills.

Training is normally undertaken in the workplace at a time to suit you, although sometimes you may need to release, if considered appropriate.

The training must result in a qualification which is nationally recognised, your employer agrees it will help you in your work, and it isn't mandatory or meets legislative requirements.

Benefits

  • Flexible provision, tailored around business needs, and conducted on or off site
  • Heavily discounted training in: basic skills; NVQ Levels 1, 2 and 3
  • If an employee already has an NVQ in another discipline, then they may be still be eligible under Train in Work

  • An Organisation classed as a SME (small to medium Enterprise) i.e. a company with less than 250 employees

"The PTL Courses have been extremely valuable to Symphony, and we wish to run them on a regular basis. The in-house courses have been especially valuable, we operate in 40 countries and have a wide spectrum of distributors and agents. They come from different backgrounds and industry disciplines. Therefore the PTL courses have been an essential tool in providing education and backup for these people. Now we can be sure all our international colleagues are 'singing from the same hymn sheet'.

The courses for both existing and prospective customers have been equally effective. Using PTL has given a sense of credibility that a corporate exercise could not match. The events have been so  successful that a number of retailers have requested specialised 'me-only' courses for their staff members. The facilities, credibility and quality of presenters at the PTL courses are exemplary and prove a valuable educational, morale booster and sales tool for our company".
